ePrescribe
We are in the process of switching from Veradigm/Allscripts to a newer system called EirSystems/PagrRx (weird name, I know). The reason we like the latter is that (as a start-up), it is much more customizable, has great customer service, and is going to be providing us with new features that we can’t get through Veradigm.
In the meantime, we may be creating accounts for you in both. But the most important one to set up is EirSystems/PagrRx.
Keep in mind that even after you create your account, you MUST go through ID proofing in order to prescribe.
Currently, both EirSystems/PagrRx AND Veradigm are integrated with our system. When you open a patient chart, you will see two buttons under the notes/messages section: “Open PagrRx/EirSystems” and “Open Veradigm/Allscripts.” You will be using PagrRx/EirSystems more.
Note: it may only open the patient in the eprescribe system if the patient has an address and phone number in their portal chart. By clicking on this button, the patient’s demographic info will pull into EirSystems/PagrRx, and you can proceed with sending a script. However, once the script is sent, it does not pull the info back into the patient portal chart yet. So you must manually document the medication, sig, quantity, and # of refills, and the pharmacy in the patient clinic note.
As noted above, once you have logged into PagrRx (https://doctor.pagrrx.io/) with your username and password, and selected your “practice location,” you will need to complete your account setup and ID verification. Click here for step-by-step instructions.
Please note: you may notice that even when you use your saved username/password, it will give you the following error:
This has to do with caching and is fixed by simply refreshing the page. Click on the refresh icon at the top of your browser, then click “LOG IN” again and it should work.
Once you are in your account and finished with verification, you will need to request a supervisor in each state you are licensed in (if applicable – NPs do not have to in certain states). We are holding off on this for now, however, because PagrRx is making changes to this section of their portal. Once they have completed this, we will let you know!
I know this is all a bit confusing, so please let me know if you have any questions or issues in the meantime.
