Lesson 4 of 8
In Progress

Current Clients and Their Insurance Offerings

Each one of our clients/companies has its own unique health plans that they offer their employees, and it’s up to us to check these plans prior to sending the patient for any outside care (such as referrals, imaging, labs, etc.).

We currently keep all of our available client benefit plans in our Account Management SharePoint Site: https://amazehealth.sharepoint.com/sites/Sales-Accounts

The site is organized alphabetically by client name. Once you click on a client folder, you’ll see all available plan documents. Please remember that patients may not always be on their employer’s plan for various reasons. Or may be a spouse or dependent on a different insurance plan. Always verify!

Please note two important things:

  1. Not all employees at a company may have the company-provided plan. For example, even though the company might offer Anthem health plans to their employees, some employees may choose not to enroll in this plan. Perhaps they are on their spouse’s plan, another plan through the healthcare marketplace, or are uninsured. So please do not assume that a company plan document applies to all employees within that company!
  2. Many of our clients/members do not have typical commercial insurance – such as Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), United Healthcare, Cigna, or Anthem. None of us are experts on these “alternative health plans,” but these plans usually have good customer service lines and work well with Amaze since they believe in what we do. It is always a good step to call and ask any questions before discussing options with a patient. Some of these plans include:
    • Planstin
    • Zion
    • Sedera
    • Champion Health (see more on next task)
