CMP – Complete Metabolic Panel

What is a CMP?

A blood test that measures different substances in the blood, including glucose, electrolytes, liver enzymes, and kidney function.

What does it tell my medical provider?

A CMP is a measure of how your organs are functioning and can identify a range of health issues, including blood sugar problems, liver disease, kidney disease, and electrolyte imbalances.

Why should I get a CMP?

A CMP can help identify potential health issues, like diabetes, liver disease, and kidney problems early on because it measures how your organs are functioning. It can also be helpful to get what providers call a baseline, or level that can be used to compare to future test results.
